Cocktail of the Month: Strawberry Daiquiri

Today was our first girls night out in Germany. We went to a tapas bar called Pio in the heart of Bremen. Everything was properly organised the German way, table reserved for 8 at 7PM, time for Happy Hour! This place offers a delicious variety of fruity and traditional cocktails for 4€ daily, from 7PM to Midnight.

This evening gave me the idea of searching for the "Cocktail of the Month" (CoM) and share the recipes for you guys to try them out. That way I have them in a collection I won't lose and you can also access them.

So, for this month's cocktail I have chosen a summery one, the famous "Strawberry Daiquiri". Fruity and exotic in perfect proportions. For 4 to 6 drinks you'll need:

1 cup white rum.

3 cups of fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped (if the strawberries aren't ripe enough you can add some syrup to the mix to sweeten it).

1/4 cup of fresh lime juice.

Ice cubes (how many will depend on how thick you want the mix to be, start with 1 cup then add up as desired).

In a blender mix together the rum, lime juice, strawberries and the first cup of ice. Blend until smooth. Pour into your glass and decorate with a slice of lime and/or a strawberry, and enjoy with some friends!
