As you may know by know, I was in Vienna (Wien) for a few days not long ago, hence why the whole Vienna themed posts lately!
This will be for now the last. And being the last I wanted to end with a bang and recommend two places I didn't know and absolutely loved.
Cafe Stein
(Währinger Straße 6-8, 1090 Vienna, Austria)
Cafe Stein is probably one of the most popular Viennese cafés, maybe because of it's amazing location just a few meters away from the stop Schottentor (where multitude of buses, trams and some U-Bahn lines stop), or the lovely service, or the amazing food (I can't recommend enough the club sandwich), or because it's cozy atmosphere, or maybe it was the Aperol. I don't know what it is but I'll be going back.
It may be quite touristy but the prices are still quite affordable.
It's open Monday - Saturday from 8:00 to 01:00, and Sunday and holidays from 9:00 to 1:00.
Der Dachboden
(25hours Hotel beim MuseumsQuartier,
Lerchenfelder Straße 1-3, 1070 Vienna, Austria)
On the 8th floor of the 25hours Hotel in the heart of the MuseumsQuartier, Der Dachboden restaurant-rooftop lounge is a great place to end up the night. With a wide offer of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, retro decorations, chill vibes and an amazing view over the Viennese skyline, Der Dachboden is a great place to take a date or simply spend some nice time with your friends.
On Fridays it can be quite busy, so one may have to do a bit of waiting due to the capacity restrictions (max. 120 guests), but it won't take long and it's absolutely worth it. Reservations are not possible.
It's open Tuesday - Friday from 14:00 to 1:00, Saturdays from 12:00 to 1:00, and Sundays from 12:00 to 22:00.
And next time I'm in town I'd like to visit the Café Himmelblau. Has anyone of you been there? Does anyone have any other suggestions?? :)
Have fun!
