Back in December I told you about Madrid and its many markets. Then I introduced you to the popular Mercado de San Miguel in the city center and promised I'd be back with a few others you should visit if you ever found yourself in Madrid.
So here I am, today I present you another must-see market for the curious souls, because did you hear kids, markets are in vogue (again)!
The Mercado de San Antón in the famous neighbourhood of Chueca is an old traditional Spanish indoors farmers' market remodeled into a delicacies heaven (food market). On the ground floor you can find the finest spices, the most elegant of wines, the freshest seafood and fish, and the juiciest of meats, among other things, for you to take home.
And on the top floor and rooftop a multicultural food court, restaurant, and art gallery can be enjoyed. From delicious pastries and freshly baked bread to mussels and pintxos, washed down with the best of Riojas.
A must if your trips aren't complete without food!
Psst, and between you and me, here you can also buy the most delicious organic burgers from my favourite Hamburguesa Nostra
