Last Wednesday I got up to a tweet by Meredith from Kaffee und Kuchen letting me (and a few other lovely bloggers) know that she was nominating us for yet another blogging award: the Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award. Thanks, it was a really nice way to start my day! (I hope you don't mind, i took your image!)
This award is pretty much the same as the Liebster Award. You are nominated by a fellow blogger with 10 questions, you thank them, answer the questions given to you. Then you nominate up to 10 other bloggers, sends them the questions, and let the ball continue rolling!
Time to answer some questions don't you think?
What do you mostly blog about?
I mostly blog about travel. Places I've been in the past, places I go to, and tips and tricks I've learnt along the way to be able to travel in a small budget (for now) because that's how I've lived my life the past few years. If my situation changes I suppose my blogging will evolve accordingly.
What is the best city you have travelled to
&
what are your recommended ‘must sees’ in that city?
I really really loved Aarhus (Denmark). I was lucky enough to call the second biggest danish city my home a couple times, and I'd not mind going back again. I really recommend the museums there, specially ARoS and its Rainbow Panorama. Also in July there's a viking re-enactment, with a viking market by the beach in Moesgaard. It's such an active city, there'll be plenty to do!
What 3 items do you always pack on a trip?
Easy! My camera, my phone, and my purse with all my IDs and health cards! (Funnily enough I tend to forget the camera charger...)
What is the best meal you’ve ever had and where did you have it?
Oh, back to Aarhus again, in a small corner bakery Kanelsnaegeln (cinnamon rolls) & Strawberry tartlets. Never tried either as good as the ones they have there.
Which destination is on your ‘must see’ list? Why?
My "must see" list has been growing exponentially lately! Being exposed to so many amazing travel bloggers posting about their adventures makes me want go to a lot of new places I never thought before. But one that's been there for ages is Iceland. I was close to making it there back in January 2012 but it couldn't be.
What’s your favourite way to spend a free weekend afternoon?
I love going places, so if I have the time I like exploring the area where I live. Take day trips here and there, bike trips. I bore easily if I have nothing to do. And if there's no time for a trip, then the couch watching a film, or writing a blog post ^^
Who would you pick to go on a cross-country road trip with you? Why?
Well, I've mostly travelled solo so far. But it'd have to be someone who doesn't mind changing plans at a split of a second, who just goes with wathever.
What are your blogging goals for the coming year?
I'd love for Wanderwings to grow as I grow. I'd love to learn more so I can create better content. Continue attending conferences as often as I can. Improve my Networking skills, you know, a learning year.
What’s your favourite blog post that you’ve written? Please share the link!
My posts are my babies, to a certain extent I love them all. Each takes hours, days even, between photographing & editing. Researching, writing, formatting, promoting and all...so it's hard to choose just one. But I guess if I had to pick just one, that'd have to be my Love Letter to Madrid
What’s a new blogging skill that you’ve learned recently?
Hmm well every day I'm learning new things (my life pretty much revolves around blogging, social media, and photography) but something I've been putting a lot of extra work into is learning typography and lettering so I can create amazing graphics for the blog.
My Questions:
- When did you start blogging? Why?
- What's your favourite summer drink?
- Turtles or Penguins? Why?
- What is your biggest (travel related) pet peeve?
- Where does your blog name come from?
- If you were to blog about something else than what you already do, what would it be?
- Three things you have learnt from blogging/the blogging community.
- What is in your 2015 travel list?
- If you could learn one new language, which one would it be?
- Are you a morning or a night person?
